In early January Rusty finally made the long trip from LA to become a full time member of the Mister Finster’s crew, but the arrival was bittersweet for all of us because our beloved Isa also relocated shops! This plan was in the works for quite some time, and Isa will be missed. She started her apprenticeship here already having some artistic experience from college as well as some time spent in shops previously, so she excelled quickly once she started putting needle to skin. She is becoming known for her original kewpies that many people have collected and she is developing her own style of work as she continues to grow as an artist. She officially became a licensed tattoo artist under the guidance of Fin and the other artists at Mister Finster’s and we are all proud of the work she put in and excited to see where she goes. You can now find her at Wicked Goddess Tattoo in Vienna where she is currently taking appointments.
Rusty’s books are open indefinitely in Virginia and he is very much looking forward to working in The Little City! Rusty has been a guest artist at Mister Finster’s since we opened in 2019. He has always brought a unique flare to the shop with his highly detailed color realism pieces and he will be a welcome addition moving forward. Friday 13th
As many of you know, Friday 13, a day typically reserved for bad omens and misfortune, is a big day in the tattoo industry. Many studios around the world put on flash events offering fun designs, often related to the day itself, for a steep discount and Mister Finster’s is one of them! There are two Friday 13th’s coming up; February 13, and March 13. February we regrettably will not be holding an event, BUT we will be doing one on March 13th 2026 and if you are reading this, that means you are the first to know! Everyone who has subscribed to our newsletter will get a first look at the flash before we share it publicly as well as other benefits as we get closer to the event, so stay tuned!
